Quentin Tarantino plays the ultimate homage to 1970s chase film cinema in 'Death Proof'. While very little happens in the actual film, the centrepiece is the chase towards the end that goes on for over 10 minutes, expertly bringing back the muscle cars that have been lacking in modern cinema.

It's ever so slightly erotic in its view of cars and womenÂ… but that's never stopped chase movies before.
