Lady Gaga leads the way in the nominations for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, with six nods in total.
The New York singer picked up nominations in the Best Live, Best Pop and Best Female categories.
She's also been named in the Best Song and Best Video categories for her hit Born this Way, rounding off her nominations with an appearance in the Best Fans category.
Gaga will face competition from the likes of Katy Perry, who has picked up four nominations, and Brit songstress Adele who came away with three.
The biggest selling artist of 2011 so far, Adele is up for Best Female, as well as Best Video and Best Song for Rolling in the Deep.
US teen sensation Justin Bieber will compete in three categories this year - Best Pop, Best Male and Biggest Fans, alongside Gaga.
Best Alternative nods go to Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Thirty Seconds To Mars, while ten nominees, including Snoop Dogg and Kings of Leon, will fight it out for the Best World Stage prize.
Last year, Gaga walked away with three gongs in total - Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song.
The MTV Europe Music Awards will take place at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on 6 November and will be broadcast live on MTV from 9pm.
