Forbes 'Dead Celebrity' Rich List

David Bowie and Prince added in Forbes’ dead celebrity rich list.

David Bowie and Prince are new entries in Forbes’ latest list of top-earning dead celebrities. 

 

Prince landed at number 5 with income estimated at $25million from October 2015 to October 2016. Bowie, on the other hand, is at number 11 for an estimated income of $10.5million.

 

Bowie died of cancer in January at the age of 69, while Prince was found dead on 21 April at the age of 57.

 

Michael Jackson tops the list with a record-breaking estimated income of $825million. His half of music publishing catalogue was sold for $750million. Forbes said that it was “the most any celebrity has ever earned in a single year.”

 

Jackson held a 50per cent stake in Sony ATV Music Publishing since 1995.
