After filming its final episode Frasier has officially left the building.

Kelsey Grammer joked "I'll never working on this show again" as the last programme was taped and the curtain came down on the most successful comedy in American history.

The show has won more Emmys than any other - 31 - and has been on the air for 11 seasons.

Grammer hugged his fellow cast members as they took a final bow at Paramount studios.

The final hour-long episode will guest star Robbie Coltrane and Richard E Grant.

Grammer has now played the radio psychiatrist for over 20 years, 11 of them in hit sit-com Cheers.

The final show is broadcast in the US on May 13th and will be shown a few weeks later on Channel 4.
