Facebook has updated its News Feed algorithms to ensure that the content that were created by your friends and family will be prioritised. Posts from news organisations as well as advertisements will lose out. Updates showing friends liking or commenting on a post will also appear further down the News Feed.
In a blog post the company said to page owners: "The impact of these changes on your page's distribution will vary considerably depending on the composition of your audience and your posting activity.
"In some cases, post reach and referral traffic could potentially decline. Overall, pages should continue to post things that people find meaningful and consider these best practices for driving referral traffic."
The changes were made following a survey saying that Facebook users prefer to see more content from people they know.
