It's 1962 and teenagers Tracy Turnblad and her friend Penny Pingleton are watching the 'Corny Collins' show, a song and dance spectacular.
A chance to dance on the show arrives for Tracy and her dancing skills not only attract the attention Corny Collins, but also that of teenage heart throb, Link Larkin (played by Zac Efron). However, everyone is happy with the decision to have her dance on the show, and the producer Velma von Tussle (Michelle Pfeiffer) will do anything to get Tracy off.
The fun and vibrant 'Hairspray' is a true feel good movie that will leave you buzzing all over. And if that's not got you convinced, a hilarious performance from John Travolta as Tracy's mother Edna certainly will!
