'Emmerdale' bosses are reportedly looking for several new actors to join the soap.

TV bosses believe the show's current stars are under a lot of pressure to keep up with the programme's fast-paced schedule.

They are said to have decided they need a bigger cast to share screen time, so are recruiting a raft of new stars in the coming months.

Soap chiefs are particularly keen to hire a good-looking female actress to replace stunning Patsy Kensit, who is set to leave 'Emmerdale' later this year.

It's also rumoured that several of the new recruits will be involved with the King family, although it's not known whether they will be relatives.

An insider is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "There will be an influx of new faces during 2006, and some will have strong connections with the King family.

"We are hoping to recruit a beautiful actress who succeed Patsy, who plays Sadie, in the powerful bad girl sort of role."
