Sally Webster and her daughter Rosie get lost on deserted moors in a gripping new 'Coronation Street' storyline.

Things go wrong when Sally, played by actress Sally Whittaker, tries to take wild child Rosie, actress Helen Flanagan, in hand.

She takes the troubled youngster for a drive to desolate Saddleworth Moor for a chat about her under-age affair with Goth teen Craig Harris.

But as the pair row, Sally crashes her car into a ditch.

The stranded mother and daughter are forced to sit and wait for help while their terrified friends and family launch a huge search and rescue operation.

A show spokesman is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "We don't want to reveal too much about the storyline at this stage, but Sally finally reaches the end of her tether with Rosie.

"They are driving on Saddleworth Moor, towards Oldham, when their car plunges into a ditch."
