Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls was caught running a red light and was fined for yet another driving offence.
On December 10, Ed Balls ignored red light near the Parliament at around 10pm. Because of this, he was fined £350 and was given 3 penalty points on his licence.
This is the 46-year-old MP’s third motoring offence. He was caught speeding in 2010 and then again, two months ago on the M62.
In April, he said he was “bang to right” after he was caught driving at 56mph in a 50mph zone. He paid the fine and attended speed awareness course instead of getting penalty points.
Talking about his driving offence and course, he said: "I paid my fine and chose to attend a speed awareness course. I currently have no points on my licence and would like to keep it that way."
Speaking about 20mph limits, he added: ‘What hit home were the statistics which link speed to car deaths. At 20mph, less than 10 percent of people will lose their lives if hit by a car.
"But the probability rises exponentially, going above 40 percent at 40mph."
Three years ago, he was also caught using mobile phone while driving near Milton Keynes.
