EastEnders star 'gutted' after calling character by his real name on live episode

Joy Joyner mistakenly called Ian Beale by his real name ‘Adam’ in a conversation during a live episode.

Tanya Branning actress Jo Joyne said that she is “gutted” after calling Ian Beale by his real name “Adam” during the live episode of EastEnders.

In a live scene where she was talking to character Jane Beale, she said: “How’s Adam?” which clearly confused Jane.

Moments after the episode, Joyner took to Twitter saying that her mistake proves that the show is live.  She wrote: “You never answered me @LauriebrettX how is @AdamWoodyatt? #leastyouknowitslive #gutted”

Users took to Twitter to express their views.

One user said: "...too funny... Don't feel bad though, you made the episode."

Another posted: "Don't worry about it! It would have been a shame if there had been no slip ups this week."

While another added "who cares! Nice to have you back on our screens xx"

Prior to that debacle it was Jake who sent EastEnders fans into a frenzy when he appeared to mumble his crucial line prompting viewers to debate whether he said “who killed Lucy” or “you killed Lucy”.
