EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace has had a baby girl.

EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace, who plays loud mouth party girl Kat Moon, has had a baby girl.

Tallulah Lilac was delivered yesterday at a hospital in London.

Wallace has been on a break from EastEnders during her pregnancy, but the show's writers will be hoping that she will now make a swift return.

Kat is one of the soap's most popular characters. After her run in with Andy Hunter and split from hubby Alfie Moon, Kat descended into alcoholism and has made only a few appearances recently.

However, now that she's given birth to a healthy baby girl, a return to the square could be in the pipeline.

Ratings have suffered of late with EastEnders struggling to keep up with rival Coronation Street.
