EastEnders actress Jo Joyner is expecting twins, according to reports.

Joyner, who plays Tanya Branning in the BBC soap, and her husband actor Neil Madden are said to be "absolutely delighted" about becoming parents for the first time.

An EastEnders source told the Daily Mirror: "Everyone is thrilled for Jo.

"Because it’s twins, she’s already got a bit of a bump so viewers can expect lots of big bags and cushions in her scenes over the coming months”.

EastEnders writers are currently working on a plotline for Joyner which will allow for a temporary departure.

The actress is due to give birth towards the end of the year.
