On Monday Morning, Duncan Bannatyne greeted his 540,000 Twitter followers saying: “It is Monday so start the week on a positive note & stay positive... Good Morning from a very sunny Wynyard Park.”
However, after a few hours, the news broke that he was being taken to hospital due to possible heart attack.
The 63-year old TV star made sure to keep his fans updated through Twitter saying: “Today was my first trip inside an Ambulance & with siren wailing. Hope it is the last. LoL”.
He later added: “Hi. In hospital attached to a few wires feeling tired but am sure I will be discharged tomorrow fit & well (fit a pensioner can be anyway).”
After an overnight stay, Duncan was said to be released on Tuesday afternoon. A representative for The Bannatyne Group said, as reported by the Mail Online:
“Everyone at the company is relieved that tests have confirmed Duncan's health scare was not a heart attack and he will be discharged from hospital later today.”
“He is now to spend a few days recuperating from his chest pains away from the stresses of his busy life.”
The rep added: “He has asked us to thank the many hundreds of people who have contacted him to express their good wishes and support and to thank the dedicated staff at Darlington Memorial Hospital for the kindness and care.”
