Michael Douglas impersonates legendary actor Richard Burton to spice up his love life.
The 61-year-old actor adopts the late Burton's Welsh accent to get his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, who was born in Wales, in the mood for love.
He told US chat show host Jay Leno: "You close your eyes once in a while, put on a Richard Burton accent maybe - something from the home country - it gives a little variety, the spice of life."
In return, Douglas joked he would like his wife to dress up in a nurse's outfit in the future.
The revelation comes 14 years after the 'Basic Instinct' star was treated for sex addiction.
Douglas, who has a history of serial womanising, married Zeta-Jones, his second wife, in 2000. They have two children, Dylan, five, and Carys, two.
Meanwhile, Douglas has revealed he turned down a role in 'Basic Instinct 2' because he didn't want to show his butt on-screen.
The star, who played detective Nick Curran in the original movie, did not want to reunite with Sharon Stone, 48, for the sequel because he thinks he is too old.
He said: "We did the first one as good as you can.
"They offered the sequel to me years ago, and I just saw no reason to do it. Have you seen my rear lately?"
