Crooner and TV host Des O'Connor is set to become a father again. He is 72.

He has revealed that his 35 year old fiancee, Jodie Wilson, is pregnant.

"We just felt the time was right for us to have a baby of our own," he said.

"We couldn't be happier. We've been talking about a baby for a long time.

"This Christmas we had such a wonderful family holiday together with my daughters and their partners."

Des has four daughters already, aged between 41 and 16.

Jodie, 35, and Des have been together for close to 14 years - they became engaged last summer.

If all goes to plan this will be Jodie's first child.

Des' oldest daughter Karen, from his first marriage to Phyllis Gill, is now 41. Tracy Jane, 40, and Samantha, 38, came from a marriage with dancer Gillian Vaughan; Kristina, 16, is from his third marriage to model Jay Rufer, according to the Daily Mirror.
