Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have called a truce in their bitter divorce battle.
The couple have been locked in a war of words since the actress filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming the Hollywood actor threatened to kill her and had visited X-rated websites featuring "very young" girls.
Despite denying the allegations, a judge ordered Sheen to stay 300 feet away from his estranged wife.
A joint statement issued by the stars read: "Denise and Charlie are working with the courts to privately resolve their differences regarding their children.
"They hope to resolve this matter outside of the public forum and will both continue to make every effort in this regard."
On Friday (12.05.06), Sheen and Richards agreed to a temporary child custody settlement allowing the actor supervised visits to see their daughters - ten-month-old Lola and Sam, two - one day a week.
The couple have also agreed to hire a psychologist to "evaluate the custody situation".
Richards, 34 - who is best know for erotic thriller 'Wild Things' and Bond movie, 'The World Is Not Enough' - originally filed for divorce in March of last year (05).
After an attempt to fix the marriage on January 4 this year (06) they asked for their divorce to go ahead as planned.
