Tonight we will have the first publicly voted for eviction from the Big Brother house.

After a month that has seen Kitten go (after breaking eight of the nine rules of the game show), Emma and Michelle voted into a bedsit, Emma return to the bedsit, and Emma leave for good (without being at fault), now things are back the way they should be.

Dan and Vanessa were, in time honoured fashion, nominated by their fellow housemates and put at the mercy of the public who have been voting for their least favourite for more than a week.

And just as traditionally they are both feeling the pressure and hiding it.

"I've been really worried but now I'm happy whichever way it's going," said the blonde South African.

Dan said his main concern was what he was wearing: "I don't want to get all ready and look fabulous and then they say: 'Vanessa.' No! No!"

"I'm not so sure I'll be happy about staying," he added. "I want to go down the pub and catch up with my friends."

While it's always hard when the public vote for you to leave, there is an up side - an evening with Davina and a week with Dermot.

Dan's biggest fear is having to share the limelight.

"[If it's] a double eviction I'll be like... "What?! No!"

Vanessa agreed: "I want the whole bloody night all about me!"
