Many viewers, not to mention housemates, were shocked to discover that there would be no chickens in this year's Big Brother.
Live chickens in the garden have been an integral part of the Big Brother experience since Craig and Co. kicked off the series in 2000.
Margery became a minor celebrity in her own right, and her relationship with Darren was the most lasting of the show.
But this year we have not been treated to the infamous "Chicken Cam", nor have we seen housemates overcoming disgust to muck out the house's feathered residents - and we can now reveal why.
Nadia, sweet, bubbly, ex-man, Nadia is a cold hearted chicken killer.
Sitting with the other housemates yesterday afternoon she revealed her most dark secret.
"Oh yes, I've killed a chicken. Of course. I pulled a bit of neck off," she revealed laughing raucously .
"If we had chickens in the garden I would kill one for a bloody roast!" she added.
Stu edged away from her.
Not content with murder, the terror of the feathered world added that she molested the poor creatures whilst alive.
She asked sweet southerner Shell, who kept chickens on her farm, if she had ever felt for eggs in a chicken's nether regions.
"Nooo!" the blonde screamed.
Reacting against the over-sanitised world in which the other housemates live, the Portuguese lady explained chickens do not come wrapped in Clingfilm from the supermarket.
"I've grown up around it," she said.
