Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will marry in Italy on November 18.

The couple - who have a six-month-old baby daughter Suri - sent out wedding invitations last week, informing their guests nuptials will take place on the weekend of November 16-19.

The couple's representative Arnold Robinson has confirmed the wedding date and place.

Katie and Tom - who got engaged in Paris last June - are apparently planning to take "proper security measures" to ensure they exchange their vows in privacy.

Italian designer Giorgio Armani revealed recently the 'Batman Begins' actress will wear one of his designs on her big day.

He said: "When I am asked by a friend to make a wedding wardrobe, it goes straight to my heart.

"It really is an honour to play a small role in that milestone moment."

Armani will design Katie's wardrobe for the entire weekend and is also creating Tom's outfit for the big day.
