Corrie mums in catfight drama

Gail and Eileen trade blows over Todd's gay fling.

Coronation Street's punch-up of the year will see Gail Platt and Eileen Grimshaw brawling on the streets after troubled Todd's gay fling is revealed.

Actresses Helen Worth and Sue Cleaver reportedly had to wear knee and elbow pads while filming the violent scenes.

Gail loses control when she discovers Todd (Bruno Langley) has been having an affair with male nurse, Karl, behind her pregnant daughter Sarah Lou's back.

She rushes to the Grimshaw residence and calls her daughter's boyfriend a "two-timing, twisted, lying pervert" before his mother leaps to the rescue.

Eileen throws a punch at Gail, leaving her reeling in the street while still wearing her dressing gown.

The turbulent episode is being aired on ITV next Monday at 8:30pm.
