'Coronation Street' character Gail Platt is to dump her boyfriend after her family receives a third message from ex-husband Richard Hillman from beyond the grave.
Gail's mum Audrey, actress Sue Nicholls, gets a chilling Mother's Day card with the words, "To the best mother-in-law in the world. Love Richard", scrawled inside.
Gail, played by Helen Worth, becomes convinced her new lover, serial killer obsessed Phil, actor Clive Russell, is behind the sick hate mail campaign and kicks him out.
A 'Street' source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Audrey is sure Phil's behind the torment and tells Gail to get rid of him. Gail's unsure, but when Phil attacks her son she flips. She warns him never to touch her kids again and to clear off."
Hillman - famously referred to as 'Tricky Dicky during his time on the soap - was killed after trying to drive Gail and her two children, Sarah and David, into a canal.
Despite throwing Phil out, Gail and mum Audrey start to question whether her murderous ex-spouse - who murdered hairdresser Maxine - is actually still alive.
