Coronation Street's bride-to-be Becky Granger spends her wedding night in tears when her second attempt for the perfect wedding to Steve MacDonald doesn't go to plan.

The barmaid, played by Katherine Kelly, gets arrested for drug dealing and is thrown in a police cell after being framed by corrupt police officer and her former acquaintance DC Hooch.

Becky and Steve's big day starts out well and this time she manages to get through the ceremony without passing out drunk - like her last attempt.

But the celebrations turn sour during the reception bash at the Rovers Return when police raid the place for drugs.

And to Becky's surprise they find some after Hooch blackmails her old friend Slug to plant them in her possession.

DC Hooch (Dominic Carter) blames Becky for ruining his career after she reported him to authorities for making sexual proposals to her.

During the arrest he tells her: "This is payback time you s**t. You and your big mouth have been a blot on my career all my working life.

"Today's a big day for both of us but only I'm celebrating. You're going down this time and I'll make sure they throw away the key."

The dramatic scenes unfold in August.
