Katy Perry, who is interested in buying a convent located in the Los Feliz neighbourhood, has been named in a recent lawsuit which centres on who is authorised to sell the property.
The Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary claim that they own the building and that they have already sold it to a local entrepreneur for $15.5million. However, the Los Angeles Archdiocese has apparently made a deal with Katy Perry who plans to buy the property for $14.million.
Sister Rita Callanan reportedly told a local newspaper that she did not want Perry to become the owner of the property.
"Well, I found Katy Perry and I found her videos … if it's all right to say, I wasn't happy with any of it," she said.
