While the bedsit buddies are set to return, either Dan or Vanessa will be leaving on Friday.

Vanessa took the news of her nomination particularly badly , as her super-cool exterior started to crack.

She looked to have taken the news well at first - but then disappeared in to the garden for a cry, then came back into the house and cried on Victor's and Marco's shoulders (without a clue that they had both nominated her) .

Finally she vowed revenge on the person she sees as responsible.

The housemates have been getting closer and closer to the truth of what is going on in the bedsit.

Yesterday, Shell told anyone who would listen that she had a "strong feeling" that Emma was nearby and Marco added that the two "evictees" might well be making nominations from the bedsit. "In fact I'm 100 per cent certain," he added.

He seemed to make a persuasive case and all the housemates were convinced that this is what is happening - and even guessed that they were watching action within the house.

This lead Vanessa to a rather misguided conclusion.

Convinced of her own popularity with the other housemates (thanks to some shameless ego-stroking by Jay, Shell and Marco) she blamed Michelle for her downfall.

"I will make sure she is the most hated woman ever in the UK," ranted the archer to her blonde colleagues.

Michelle did not nominate her - five other housemates did.

Ahmed, Marco, Stuart, Nadia, and Victor all decided they wanted Vanessa out , most citing her superior attitude and lack of fun.

Dan also received five nominations. Marco, Nadia, Shell, Stuart, and Victor decided that "Gandalf the Gay"(as "Slick" termed him) was false and not very nice.

Two housemates received three votes, Ahmed (who Daniel, Shell, and Vanessa nominated) and Nadia (Daniel, Jay and Vanessa). Ahmed was at fault for annoying Shell, and Nadia scared people as she had run out of cigarettes and had an annoying laugh.

The bedsit two both voted for Jay and Victor, while Marco was nominated by Ahmed and Jason.

But things will be shaken-up tonight when Emma and Michelle rejoin the house in a one-hour, live, Channel 4 special.

Will Vanessa be put straight? Will Victor and Jason face the music? Will Michelle reclaim her name from Shell? Will the return of Emma and Michelle mean Nadia can smoke again and Shell can stop beating up pillows?

One thing we can guarantee is that there will be one of the biggest hugging screamfests in television history when Marco claps eyes on his missing friends.
