Comic legend Sir Norman Wisdom has died at the age of 95.
The London-born star passed away peacefully on Monday evening at a nursing home on the Isle of Man.
He had suffered a series of strokes over the last six months, leading to a decline in his health.
Norman was best known for his slapstick roles, famously playing Norman Pitkin against furious boss Mr Grimsdale between 1953 and 1966.
Sir Norman, who was knighted by the Queen in 2000, was a cult figure in Albania, as his were the only Western films allowed into the country.
His family has asked for time to grieve a “much loved father and grandfather”.
