Eva Longoria has revealed she used to play the class clown - because she didn't feel pretty enough to get attention any other way.

The striking brunette - who is sending temperatures soaring as sexy Gabrielle Solis in hit show, 'Desperate Housewives' - confessed she was the plainest in her family.

She said: "People would always be falling over my sisters. They'd stop my mum in the street and say, "What pretty girls you have." Then they'd look at me and smile and say, "And who is this?"

The 30-year-old actress said she became a "real joker" to get attention.

She added: "I thought, if my sisters could be the prettiest, then I'd just have the biggest personality. When I was 16 my features sort of fell into place, and then boys started looking at me too."
