Clifftop proposal goes horribly wrong after girlfriend falls to her death after accepting

A romantic proposal atop a cliff turned into a tragedy when the woman's excited jumps of joy sent her over the edge.

A woman has died after her boyfriend proposed to her on top of a cliff at a beauty spot in Ibiza.

The romantic proposal took a tragic turn when the woman became excited and jumped up and down in emotion only to fall off the cliff edge.

Local police claim that Dimitrina Dimitrova, 29, simply lost her balance in the freak accident just days after she came to the region to visit her partner, a local waiter, and look for work herself.

‘Everything is pointing towards the death being the result of a tragic freak accident,’ a local Civil Guard spokesman said.

Meanwhile, a source told MailOnline: 'She fell seconds after her partner surprised her by proposing to her as she jumped up and down with emotion.’

The Bulgarian suffered a heart attack brought on by the injuries sustained in the 65ft fall in Cala Tarida.
