Based on recent surveys, very few people shop using their mobile phone these days as it required filling in lots of forms as many sites ask not just for credit card numbers but also billing and delivery addresses and other information. The surveys also confirmed that 90per cent of shoppers abandon their online shopping basket or carts when attempting to buy something on mobile simply because the process can be frustrating.
Dan Wagner, founder of Powa Technologies, offers solution to this problem. His company has built a platform that makes smartphone shopping much easier.
"We've created a new type of e-commerce platform that allows you to wave your phone over a product or image, tap your phone and buy without filling in lots of forms,"
"We are transforming commerce and advertising."
The new shopping technology relies on digital tags like quick response (QR) codes. Shoppers who have downloaded the app can buy a product with PowaTag symbol by simply scanning the digital tags and tapping the “buy now” button.
