Chloe Heald has been kicked off the X Factor for giving a less than ‘average’ performance.
The contestant, who refers to herself as Chloe Mafia, has been shrouded in controversy throughout the competition, after it was revealed that she had been working as a prostitute.
In the final stages of last nightÂ’s show, X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger decided that Miss Heald would not be put through to the next stage of the competition.
The 19-year-old from Wakefield had admitted to turning up hungover to the boot camp round after staying up all night drinking. She said:
“I went out last night when I got here, ain’t been to bed yet. I just feel sick.”
The acts that made it through to the "judges houses'" stage, included 16-year-old- Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel, Aiden Grimshaw, Italian Nicolo Festa, Gamu Nhengu, Paije Richardson and shop assistant Mary Byrne.
The judges were then told which acts they would be mentoring, with Dannii being told first that she would be in charge of the boys. It was then revealed that Cheryl would mentor the girls category, Louis was given the over-28s and Simon would be looking after the groups.
Finding it hard to hide his frustration at his category, Cowell said:
“Thank you for repaying all of my hard work on the show this year. I can't believe it. Two words - stitch up!'
The final 32 acts now go through to the judgesÂ’ houses stage next weekend, when they will be cut down to the final 12 to face the live performances.
The X Factor is on next Saturday at 7.05pm and next Sunday at 7.45pm.
