Teen X Factor star Cher Lloyd is reportedly engaged to her hairdresser boyfriend, Craig Monk, after just nine months of dating.

The Sun reports that the Cheryl Cole lookalike is smitten with the 21-year-old and the couple, who already live together, are planning to step their relationship up a notch.

According to the newspaper, she has been sharing the good news with her close friends and showing off her ring, which she is yet to be photographed wearing.

Monk travelled with Cher on her working trip to the States last month, where the couple were photographed looking very loved-up.

In November, she told the Mail Online that her beau helps to keep her grounded, saying:

"He tells me to get the grip. He whips me back into shape a little bit."

Swagger Jagger singer Cher became a star after appearing on X Factor in 2010 and has since released her debut album and had a Number 1 hit.

The couple met at the salon where Monk works in April and moved in together shortly after.
