Amid the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, it is important to recognise some films and some performances for what they really are - complete rubbish.
Thus the existence of the Annual Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, which this year have focused their attentions on Catwoman, Alexander and a whole host of other painful productions.
Warner Brothers' Catwoman has received a whopping seven nominations this year, including worst actress for Halle Berry, worst supporting actress and actor for Sharon Stone and Lambert Wilson respectively, worst director for 'Pitof' and worst picture.
Oliver Stone's Alexander has also been given no fewer than six nominations to add to the near-universal panning by critics the biopic has already received.
Leading stars Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie have been nominated in the worst actor and actress categories, while the film also picked up nominations for worst director, worst screenplay, worst picture and worst supporting actor for Val Kilmer.
Michael Moore's political rant Fahrenheit 9/11 was nominated five times, although it seems a little unfair to burden US president George Bush with a nomination for worst actor when he has the fate of the Free World on his shoulders.
No such excuse can be given for Ben Stiller, who picked up a fantastic three nominations for worst actor, while Ben Affleck picked up two. Hilary Duff and Angelina Jolie have both been nominated for worst actress twice.
There is also some tough competition in the worst sequel category, with Alien V Predator battling it out against the Exorcist 4, Scooby Doo 2, Anacondas: Hunt for the Blood Orchid and Around the World in 80 Daze.
