Areas of Britain were hit by snow at the weekend, and Monday morning brought snow blizzards to parts of the UK. Rather than waking up to the sound of birds tweeting in the trees, many UK citizens awoke to snow at the start of the week.
And the cold weather is expected to continue. After seeing sunny days last week, the UK’s weather has taken a shift, with many places witnessing icy winds over the weekend.
Experts have predicted that there could be several inches of snowfall on Monday for some areas, in particular the Pennines. And temperatures could reportedly plummet as far down as -7C, according to media reports.
Supposedly the south of the country should also expect snowy weather, after Jersey Airport was forced to close because of conditions. This meant that several flights had to be cancelled.
Road users are being warned to take care as the winter weather makes a comeback this spring, although it is unsure if the UK will have a white Easter contrary to speculation.
Although there may be more snow to come, it is thought that this will be replaced with rain towards the end of the week.
