Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are addicted to a British soap opera about country life.

The pair - who are expecting their first baby together - got hooked on 'Emmerdale' after the actress started watching it to perfect her British accent for a new film.

The couple have spent hours watching the show - about a village in the north of England - so the pouting beauty can hone her northern pronunciation.

A friend of the star is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "On their recent trip to the UK Brad and Ange used northern accents all the time - and did impressions of 'Emmerdale' characters.

"She has made Brad watch loads of episodes."

The raven-haired actress is even introducing her pals to the soap.

The source added: "Angelina is trying to convince friends it's the best thing on TV."
