Why everyone should experience the majestic nature of America’s National Parks

It is hard to give one reason why America’s national parks are so popular because there are so many to choose. They may share a common category, but each of the hundreds of designated parks contains its own special attraction, ranging from magnificent rock formations, which are millions of years old, to volcanoes, glaciers and breathtaking canyons. There is also a great variety of wildlife, hiking trails, and scenery, which is almost too stunning to capture in a photograph.

Every year, many millions of people from all around the world visit American national parks, and although some parks consistently appear in the top 20 most popular parks lists there are more that are less busy but equally worth a visit. The biggest problem most tourists have to deal with is deciding which one to choose.

 

 

You Can See Nature at its Finest

Marvel at the waterfalls in Yosemite and the geysers of Yellowstone, or check out the trees in the Kings Canyon National Park, which are said to be the biggest in the world. (While keeping one eye out for the bears, rattlesnakes, and cougars that call this place home.) If you prefer to avoid crowds, plan to visit one of the less hyped national parks. They contain all of the tranquil beauty you'd expect, but fewer visitors to share it with.

 

Some Parks Are Free to Enter

Some parks are free to enter all year round, although as you would expect these can also be the most popular amongst visitors. Special events and promotional days do occur periodically, and in these instances, many or even all parks are free for a particular period. Even with the average fee charged per family traveling in one car, it is a reasonably priced day out, but of course, free is an attractive option.

 

You Don’t Always Need a Car

To try and reduce traffic congestion, many parks are looking to provide solid public transport options, which is great news for those who have no access to a vehicle, and as many parks have shuttle services once inside the grounds there is no need to miss out on visiting the main attractions of each place.

 

 

Visiting Out of Season is Equally Wonderful

Fewer people want to visit a national park in the winter, which leaves more space for you to enjoy a different perspective on the scenery, or try some winter-only activities.

 

 

You Can Find a Place to Stay Close By

Many national parks have several well-priced accommodation options nearby, so searching the Internet for Bryce Canyon hotels such as Ruby’s Inn will let you find a good place to stay without having to make a long trek to the park and then wondering where you can stay.

 

Whether you choose to concentrate on visiting one place or plan to pay a short visit to a park as part of a busy itinerary isn’t important, just so long as you get to enjoy at least one of these tributes to the wonder of nature.
