Alfie's date disaster

After too many episodes of dithering, Alfie Moon finally decides to ask little Mo out.

Is Alfie's luck about to change? Since arriving in Walford in 2002, the lovable rough diamond that is Alfie Moon hasn't had the easiest of times when it comes to women.

Having suffered one divorce and one separation, the cheeky market trader could be forgiven for giving the lay-dees a wide berth. However, his close friendship with little Mo could spark a change in fortunes.

This week after too many episodes of dithering, he finally decides to ask little Mo Mitchell (also still married) out.

With a spring in his step he decides to get a DVD, send Nana out for the evening and invite her round to chez Moon for a cosy night in.

However things never run that smoothly in soapland. Firstly, they have to throw big Mo off the scent as she is determined to find out who her young namesake is dating.

Then the DVD doesn't work. Then Nana arrives home early. Not to be beaten, Alfie decides to take Mo around to Casa Garry and Minty, who also arrive home early.

And so in the end he takes her to the arches, where they can finally be alone. But has the romance died before it has begun?
