Catherine Zeta-Jones has been voted the world's sexiest "thirty-something" woman.

The stunning Welsh actress, who is married to Hollywood legend Michael Douglas, beat off stiff competition from a host of beauties to claim the title.

Catherine beat Angelina Jolie, who finished second, and 'Catwoman' star Halle Berry, who claimed third place.

The poll was conducted by Britain's Eve magazine who asked readers to nominate the celebrities they thought had the sexiest figure and image.

Other stars to make the top ten include Australian model Elle McPherson, Jennifer Lopez and Oscar-nominated actress Kate Winslet.

A spokesman for the magazine revealed he thought the list accurately reflected what modern women admired in today's female stars.

He said: "The survey shows that women prefer stars who combine great beauty with independence and a strength of character. It also demonstrates that women can retain their looks and sexiness when they become moms."
