X Factor contestant Olly Murs has broken his hand in a gym accident.
Reportedly, the 26-year-old sustained the injury as he was hitting a punchbag at the shared X Factor house in north London.
Later on, the odds on favourite to win the show was pictured by paparazzi with a plaster cast on his right hand outside the mansion.
A TalkbackThames spokesperson told the Daily Mirror: "Olly has a boxer's fracture in his right hand after hitting a punch bag in the gym area at the contestant house yesterday afternoon.
"He has a cast on his hand to prevent further damage, but will be performing as usual at the weekend.
"He's confident it won't affect his hip swivelling moves!"
Murs isn't the only hopeful to be injured in the X Factor house - Joe McElderry damaged his ribs after a prank didn't come off as planned.
Stacey Solomon explained: "Me and Lucie decided to prank Olly, but Olly was in a bad mood.
"We went downstairs with a bottle of water and the plan was that Lucie would open his pants and I would pour the water, but Lucie chickened out last minute because Olly was getting angry saying 'get out of my room'.
"So we went up to his bedroom and because he hates mess we moved his blanket, we put his shoes on his bed, toothpaste, hair gel and hair spray and then he started running up the stairs so we ran and ran and I fell up the stairs and Joe slipped on a can of deodorant on to the floor and broke his rib."
