Arsenal legend Ian Wright has landed a leading role in a new film.
Liverpool Leopard follows the fortunes of a footballer coming to terms with a lengthy ban.
Since hanging up his boots, Wright has made a successful career for himself as a TV presenter and can currently be seen on the BBC's National Lottery programme.
The effervescent striker made his name at Arsenal but sees no problem with wearing the red of Liverpool for his movie debut.
"I'm well up for it," he told The Sun newspaper. "It will be scary but a great challenge and very exciting."
Wright follows the likes of Eric Cantona and Vinny Jones in making the transition from the football field to the film set.
Later this year, England skipper David Beckham will start filming football trilogy Goal - with the first instalment to be released in August next year.
