World's tallest man weds his bride who is over two and a half feet shorter

Sultan Kosen, the world’s tallest man, has walked down the aisle with a bride who, at nearly six feet tall, is still much shorter than him

Sultan Kosen, who stands at a massive 8'3" and is known as the world’s tallest man, got married on Saturday in Turkey. The bride, 20-year-old Merve Dibo stands 5'8".

Kosen, who have previously given up hope in finding love, described his wedding day as the “happiest day ever.”

He told Metro: "I'm thrilled to have found the person for me.”

"It was unfortunate that I could not find a suitable girl of my own size. But now I will have my own family and private life.”

Kosen is reportedly one of only 10 people in the world to ever top 8 feet. He is a part-time farmer and for the huge event in his life, he had to order a custom-made suit and size 28 shoes.

Kosen suffers from pituitary gigantism; a condition that causes his body to continually produce growth hormones. However he stopped growing in 2011.
