Women are leading the way in the current online property boom, according to a new report by an internet property advertising firm.
Figures released by HomesGoFast revealed that an increasing number of female property owners are choosing to sell their houses via the internet and are dominating the online market.
According to the survey, women make up 70 per cent of clients, turning to the alternative route of selling their properties in search of a simpler and more efficient service.
Jane Marr, director of HomesGoFast, believes that women enjoy the house hunting process more then men and prefer the ease and convenience of internet sites.
"Women are the real decision makers when it comes to selling a home," she explained. "They are the ones searching the internet for a new abode."
Similar reports have confirmed that the popularity of online property websites is increasing, with wider marketing opportunities and an element of self-control helping to attract sellers.
Estate agents are also waking up to the potential of web-based clients and extending their businesses to reach the online market.
"Women list with us as they are prepared to break away from traditional methods of selling their property," added Ms Marr.
