Statistics have revealed that the number of working women above 40 seeking IVF treatments has increased by 500%.
This has been recorded as the biggest increase of any age group. It has also been reported that women not entitled to IVF on the NHS, have turned to private clinics in an attempt to become mothers.
Doctors believe that career-oriented women who put off building a family for their careers are the main cause of the increase in number for IVF.
