Kate Winslet is being lined up for a part in the fourth Harry Potter film, it has emerged today.
Winslet, 28, has reportedly been asked to play the Beauxbatons champion Fleur Delancour.
Her husband, Sam Mendes, told the Daily Mirror :"Some weeks ago Kate had a meeting with director Chris Columbus and some producers of the Harry Potter movies.
"She was asked to have an important role as a young French wizard or something like that in the fourth film.
"She is still thinking about it. I told her to do it just for the kids. Mia and Joe will thank her in the future."
Fleur, who is 18 years old and a half Veela, will compete against Harry, and Quidditch star Victor Krum, in the Tri-Wizard Tournament in the fourth Potter film.
