Winslet gets Bafta boost
Britain's Kate Winslet has received two nominations for best actress in this year's Bafta awards.

Britain's Kate Winslet has another chance at a gong after failing to win a Golden Globe last night and has received two nominations for best actress in this year's Bafta awards.
The 29-year-old was nominated for her performance alongside Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and her role opposite Johnny Depp in Finding Neverland.
Jamie Foxx also has two nominations - for best actor in Ray, a biopic of musician Ray Charles, and best supporting actor in Collateral alongside Tom Cruise.
The Aviator, the story of millionaire Howard Hughes, has received 14 nominations, including best actor for Leonardo DiCaprio.
Martin Scorcese is up for the David Lean Award for achievement in direction for the film, while Cate Blanchett has been nominated as best supporting actress and Alan Alda for best supporting actor.
Finding Neverland received another ten nominations on top of Kate Winslet's, including best actor for Johnny Depp and best supporting actress for Julie Christie.
Imelda Staunton's performance in Vera Drake has won her a nomination for best actress, while the film also picked up nominations for Heather Craney and Phil Davies as best supporting actress and actor respectively.
Shi Mian Mai Fu's House of the Flying Daggers has been nominated for the cinematography and best non-English film awards, while Ziyi Zhang is up for the best actress.
The Motorcycle Diaries, an account of the early life of South American revolutionary Che Guevara, has collected seven nominations, including best actor for Gael Garcia Bernal and best supporting actor for Rodrigo De La Serna.
Jim Carrey is up for best actor for his role in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, while Clive Owen and Nathalie Portman have been nominated for best supporting roles in Closer.
Charlize Theron has been nominated for best supporting actress in Monster and Meryl Streep is up for the same award for her performance in The Manchurian Candidate.
The ceremony on February 12th, hosted by Stephen Fry, will also feature the Orange Film of the year award made up of the top ten UK box office hits of 2004.
These are: The Day After Tomorrow, Shrek 2, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Spider-Man 2, Troy, Shark Tale, I, Robot, Scooby Doo 2, The Incredibles and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
