Will Young wants to expand his career options - and set up a market stall in Albert Square.
The Pop Idol star made his acting debut alongside Dame Judi Dench in Mrs Henderson Presents, which is out this summer.
After the "amazing" experience, he is now keen to take this newfound talent further by starring in EastEnders.
The 26-year-old revealed to the Daily Star that he would love to work in the Queen Vic and join Walford as the only gay in the Square.
"I'd love a part on EastEnders. Definitely," said the singer, who shot to fame after winning the Pop Idol TV talent show in 2002.
"I'd want a hat stall on the market and then I'd work in the Queen Vic at weekends. I'd be the only gay on the Square!"
And Will reckons that he will be able to bring benefits to the show other than his acting skills.
"I love my bottom - it is very nice. It's one of my best assets," he admitted. "A good, pert bottom doesn't go until you're 40, apparently."
