Martine McCutcheon and Denise van Outen are seemingly fighting for the chance to appear naked with Will Young.

Will Young wowed producers of the upcoming film Mrs Henderson Presents with his screen test and was immediately shortlisted for a principal role in the film.

The musical is based on the story behind the Windmill Club, a theatre which in the 1930s became the first London nightspot to put live nude models on stage.

Dame Judy Dench and Bob Hoskins are also signed up to star - but there is an opening for a younger female lead.

Newspaper speculation claims Denise and Martine are fighting for the part.

"They are both very talented and want to be chosen. They also have great bodies and aren't afraid to show them off," an insider told The Sun.

"Denise has proved how talented a singer she is after her success in the West End versions of Chicago and Tell Me On A Sunday. Everyone knows Martine can sing, too - though she made a lot of no-shows when she starred in My Fair Lady.

"Denise gets on with Martine but this has undoubtedly caused some professional rivalry. A decision has to be made soon, as filming is due to start at the end of the month."
