Who's the impromptu wedding singer? Roger Daltrey crashes couple's reception

70-year-old Daltrey decided to drop in at the wedding reception after he heard that the couple were fans.

Susan and Carl Smith just had the best wedding afterparty ever after Roger Daltrey crashed their reception. The couple were left speechless when they were interrupted by The Who frontman who took to the stage and sang in front of guests.

Reports say that My Generation singer Daltrey was staying at a five-star-hotel near Glasgow ahead of a gig. However, he heard that the couple were fans and he decide to drop in. The couple, who are still in “disbelief” said that the performance was legendary.

Mrs Smith, a marketing manager, said: ‘It was unexpected but it just made it the perfect day. It was unbelievable and better than we ever could have imagined.’

‘I was just pleased that he was happy enough to have a photograph taken with me a few hours before and I thought that was the end of it,’ she said.

‘When he went away for his dinner I actually said to the guests not to bother him as he was just trying to have a quiet night.’

However, a friend of the couple persuaded the singer to enter the reception room. The music legend ended up singing his classic song Can’t Explain.
