Actor Charlie Sheen has been released from hospital after an "episode" at a hotel in New York.
The Two and a Half Men star is alleged to have caused damage to his room, where police found him in an apparent drunken state.
It was claimed that the 45-year-old was discovered "intoxicated, irrational and emotionally disturbed" at the Plaza Hotel, but his publicist has insisted that he suffered an allergic reaction to some medication.
He also added that Sheen has now returned to Los Angeles.
After hotel security reported that the actor was behaving in a disorderly manner, he voluntarily went with authorities for a psychiatric evaluation.
Police commissioner, Raymond Kelly, said: "No arrests were made."
Sheen was visiting his ex-wife and two daughters, who were also staying at the Plaza but in the next room.
The couple divorced in 2006 after four years of marriage.
