Sienna Miller's childhood sweetheart used to be Jude Law look-a-like - lothario Calum Best, it has been revealed.

The screen beauty and son of legendary footballer George Best were reportedly "smitten" with each other after meeting at a party at a mutual friend's party in London.

Sienna, who was 16 at the time and Calum, then 17, struck up such a close relationship they even wrote each other love letters when they were parted.

A friend revealed: "Sienna was really smitten with him and Calum was infatuated with her from the beginning. The young lovebirds would write to each other when Calum went back to LA too, although it eventually fizzled out."

But their longstanding friendship continued when kind-hearted Sienna took Calum under her wing when he moved from Los Angeles to live back in London five years ago.

The beautiful actress came to the rescue of the sexy model and housed him for three months at her swanky Chelsea pad when he had nowhere else to go.

The source added: "Calum is really grateful for all the help Sienna gave him at that time. He wanted to stay in the capital but not with his dad. She opened the door immediately and he slept on the couch. The pair had a lot of fun as flatmates for three months."
