A major new survey reveals that British drivers prefer German-made cars because they are easy to drive, comfortable and cheaper.
In the customer satisfaction table compiled by What Car? magazine and car quality experts JD Power, seven German vehicles made it to the peak positions on the list.
Volkswagen’s UP super mini and Golf Plus hatchback were first and second, respectively.
They are followed by Skoda’s Yeti sports utility vehicle. While the Mercedes-Benz C-Class was voted fourth, the Volkswagen Scirocco came in fifth. Volkswagen's Tiguan came in at number six followed by Lexus CT200h, Skoda Octavia, and Volvo V70/XC70 and Jaguar XF.
WhatCar said of the winning Vokswagen Up: ‘This is the Volkswagen Up’s first year in the survey and it has performed brilliantly, proving itself to be reliable, easy to drive, and fuel efficient. These features make it a worthy victor.’
