Emmerdale's new year wedding ends in disaster when Tom accuses bride Charity of seeing someone else and all the guests start fighting.

The wedding was never going to go peacefully with scheming Sadie King hanging around and her plotting comes to a spectacular conclusion.

In a last ditch effort to break up the lovebirds, Sadie, played by Patsy Kensit, gives her father-in-law photos of his bride kissing ex-lover Cain Dingle.

When Tom, played by Ken Farrington, accuses Charity of cheating on him in front of all the guests in the church, his sons Jimmy and Carl confront Cain and his Uncle Zak in a vicious punch-up.

The businessman does not realise that Sadie bribed the evil Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, to kiss Charity, played by Emma Aitkins, in the street.

Charity pushes Cain away but not before they are snapped by a private detective. It is these photos that then cause Tom, to reject his lover on their wedding day.

"The ceremony begins but the congregation is shocked when Tom announces that Charity has been seeing someone else," an insider told the Daily Star.

"She pleads her innocence but Tom refuses to listen and a brawl breaks out between the Kings and the Dingles.

"As the mayhem continues, Charity insists to Tom that she has been set up, begging him to go through with the wedding."

But it's too late as a distraught Tom storms out of the church.
